Short description

The POWER project was conceived by Coop. Nazareno (IT) and 3 partner organisations (GR, CZ, IE) to promote the transnational co-production of a play with disabled actors, as well as the mobility of artists; POWER aims to increase the skills and knowledge of operators who usually organise artistic activities for disabled people, in order to improve their preparation and their skills regarding good practices to be adopted. POWER will also improve the participation of young and old in theatrical activities, through actions of empowerment of the public in schools and through the organization of daytime replicas of performances specifically designed for them.

The general objective of the project is also to give greater visibility and resonance to theatrical performances and training activities that actively involve people with disabilities. POWER intends to enhance and promote as a true artistic expression this theatrical genre, which is difficult to find adequate visibility in traditional theatres and theatre seasons, and even more difficult to allow people with disabilities / actors to circulate in foreign countries to stage their performance.

At the same time the social impact of the project will be very significant, since disabled people will fight those stigmas and social prejudices that usually make them feel “less” able than “normal people”, thus increasing their self-esteem and feeling more included in the society where they live thanks to the support of specially trained operators. On the other hand, the social impact will be on the whole society, which will change the traditional perception towards disabled people.

Objectives

– To strengthen and improve the artistic skills of people with disabilities, in particular in the field/sector of entertainment, and to promote their transnational mobility;
– To improve the social integration of disabled people and migrants through theatre as a universal language and barrier-free tool;
– To raise public awareness of a theatrical genre interpreted by a different artistic group and to develop a new audience for this particular artistic genre;
– To increase the active engagement of young and old people in theatre events through training courses on artistic and social awareness at school and through daytime replicas of performances in the theatre or in nursing homes;
– To strengthen the skills and competences of operators working with disabled people, both in the artistic/creative and in the social field;
– To create a long-term collaboration between artistic groups and institutions working in the field of disability and other social issues at national and international level.

Results
The main expected results are:

> increase in the skills of theatre professionals and social workers on the methodologies to be adopted to involve disabled people in theatre

> Increased skills of disabled and migrant artists in the production and staging of a performance and increased capacity to cooperate at European level with colleagues and professionals in the sector.

> promotion of the social value of theatre activities and awareness of the potential offered by disability and diversity in general in the arts, as well as increased attention of the local community to new creative processes that promote inclusion

Short description

In recent years, photography proved to be an art capable of stimulating questions from observers about the world around them. Images are highly communicative, especially in contexts where people do not share the same linguistic or cultural background, and can be useful for bringing communities together and shaping people’s minds on different topics. Photography is a unique way of expressing ideas, perspectives and thoughts, so nowadays it can be seen as an active force capable of producing questions, opinions, feelings and desires without the need for words. Within RIO, 4 organisations active in the field of photography, each with different profiles, will be involved in a 24-month experiment aimed at reconstructing local identities through photographic language, in 4 European cities (Savignano sul Rubicone – IT, Copenhagen – DK, Zaragoza – ES, Amsterdam NL). Foreign professional photographers will interact deeply with local communities during festivals organized in partner countries (IT & DK ). This process will be further enriched by the adoption by each partner of good practices in the development of cultural strategies in the field of photography and will arouse the interest of a wider audience, enriching the programme of festivals, cultural and creative services and promotional campaigns.

 

Objectives

  1. Rebuilding the identity of local communities in partner countries through the sharing and circulation of images representing the chosen city with the involvement of residents and immigrants;
  2. Digitize historical and photographic archives;
  3. Encouraging partner organisations with different profiles supporting photography in a process of mutual learning and consolidating and improving the knowledge and skills (including digital skills) of photographers in the various countries involved in the project, promoting transnational cooperation and mobility;
  4. Ensure the active participation in the photographic practice of each member of the communities involved in the project in order to develop a new audience and change the tastes of the traditional audience.

Short description

LUCAS is a transnational project co-funded by the Community programme Erasmus + Action Sport – Collaborative Partnerships within the call EAC/S11/13 (deadline 2014). InEuropa srl supported the management of the project.

Objectives
LUCAS aims to create a stable European network for the sharing of information, experience and good practices on rehabilitation models through sport, for the reintegration of people with disabilities acquired from brain injuries and spinal cord injuries (in particular resulting from a coma) and their families/caregivers.
The partnership intends to develop and test a comprehensive rehabilitation plan (based on a structured, multidisciplinary and integrated experimental methodology), assisted by qualified staff, which aims not only at physical rehabilitation, but also at social reintegration of people with acquired disabilities and their families.

The main results of LUCAS are:

– For families/caregivers: the meeting and comparison with similar experiences at European level will increase their skills in promoting associations of families of disabled people and practices of mutual aid between families and volunteers; it will also increase the capacity for public initiative and dialogue with institutions for the promotion and protection of citizenship rights of people with disabilities. Through sport, they will experience a “social” moment in their daily lives.
– Enlargement of countries and number of participants in the European Awakening Day for Coma Research – 7 October each year.

Short description

The project is aimed at young people who leave the care system (in a community, in family homes and/or in family foster care) and intends to create a space for their participation and active citizenship (the European Care Leavers Network), so that they become protagonists of exchange and reflection activities and propose suggestions and ideas to improve policies on extra-family care and the actions to be taken to support young people during the delicate phase of “leaving” the care system. The aim is to give young care leavers more tools to better face the future independent life.

InEuropa srl has supported the planning activity.

Objectives

– to involve young people in associative and participatory pathways (especially the most vulnerable young people and those at risk of social exclusion) as a form of prevention of distress, reduction of the risk of deviance, marginalization, loneliness and as a means of promoting social inclusion, intercultural dialogue and non-discrimination;

– to improve the capacity for participation and active citizenship of young people in disadvantaged contexts, including unaccompanied foreign young people;

– initiate an exchange of good practices for the reception and exit of young people from out-of-family care at European level;

– to develop a long-term dialogue between young people removed from their families of origin, the management structures of care services and the decision-making authorities on the subject through the elaboration of Recommendations on the practices of transition to autonomy and the creation of the first European Conference of Care Leavers to be repeated annually, stimulating their critical thinking and spirit of initiative;

– to support youth workers and youth workers working in host structures in acquiring effective methods to prepare young people to proactively face the exit from the care pathway;

– raise awareness among the general population, as well as the specific actors involved, of the rights and difficulties faced by young people who are removed from their families.

 

Actions

The project foresees the realization of 4 Intellectual Outputs:

OI 1: Development of training modules for transnational training on CLN and Focus Groups

OI 2: Virtual platform as an opportunity for experiential training and exchange among young people – creation of the European Care Leavers Network

OI 3: Development of training modules for transnational training for operators on preparing children to leave residential structures

OI 4: “Recommendations” on the system of guardianship services and the transition to autonomy for young people

The project also foresees the organization of 2 short term joint training sessions for staff (aimed at providing new tools and methodologies for the involvement of young people in a path towards the exit from care facilities) and 1 combined mobility session for young beneficiaries.

Results

The main expected results are:

– Creation of a European Care Leavers Network with the fundamental aim of raising awareness of preventive action to improve the quality of the protection of young people in situations outside the family and the accompaniment to the exit from the protection pathways.

– Strengthening of the participation of young care leavers in the creation of support services that allow them to leave the protection pathways with a stronger and more continuous guide.

– Greater social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, self-confidence and active citizenship for young care leavers through the creation of networks with European peers.

– Less disadvantage, risk of deviance, marginalisation and loneliness of young care leavers.

– Increasing the skills and knowledge of professionals and young people working in reception structures regarding effective methods to accompany young people in the transition from care services.

FAIDRA – Family separation through immigration: dramatising anedoctal european history

Creative Europe – Call for European cooperation projects 2016

Short description

The project aims to tell, through documentary theatre, the stories of ordinary European families who have experienced immigration in different circumstances and periods of their country’s recent past. The separation and reunification, the adaptation to another culture, the rejection, the difficult search for a balance to reconcile work and family in two different countries and in a foreign context, the successes and failures, all this will be sewn together to create a joint theatrical performance, which will be staged in partner countries. In addition, the original documentation made available by the people involved will become the subject of a travelling exhibition on the theme of immigration and family separation, both for those who have been forced to live it, and for those who voluntarily decided to take up a life away from home.

InEuropa srl supports Teatro dei Venti in the management of the project.

Objectives

– develop the genre of documentary theatre using a variety of expressive forms such as acting, dance, stilts, storytelling, audiovisual and digital technology;

– create a multicultural artistic product that can circulate and be shared by a wide audience, following an audience development strategy aimed at specific target groups and the general public at European level, translating the products into 7 European languages;

– exploit the documentation collected during the project for educational purposes, addressing both young artists interested in documentary theatre and its artistic potential, and the general public, including students, who will learn more about intra-EU immigration, the social and European integration issues related to it and the interpretations and illustrations that art offers of this phenomenon.

 

Actions

The main activities of the project consist of:

– analytical research activities on the phenomenon of migration and family separation within 3 pairs of countries that have respectively sent and received migrants: Romania-Italy, Bulgaria-Greece, Poland-Sweden

– field research activities, interviewing immigrant communities and investigating the circumstances in which immigration took place and the positive and negative effects on their family life

– Theatre workshops in the 3 host countries (Greece, Sweden and Italy) involving immigrants in order to share their stories and create a draft story to represent.

– production of a joint show between the partners, formed by the stories produced by the 3 pairs of countries and united within a common scenario

– performance representation in Greece, Sweden and Bulgaria

– organisation of international seminars for artists and actors in all partner countries

– international exhibition on intra-European migration and family separation that collects all the materials produced in the initial research phase of the project. The exhibition will be mostly digital and therefore easily transferable and usable in different contexts (schools, municipalities, organizations, etc.).

 

Results

The main expected results are:

– improvement of the international cooperation and co-production skills of the artists involved and of their own skills in the following areas: documentary theatre, artists’ training and audience development. Increased opportunities for international mobility for artists and professionals to create a multicultural performance;

– Awareness raising and increase of public knowledge on intra-European migration and family separation, appreciation of the genre of documentary theatre and the social role of theatre as a tool to bring social issues to the attention and contribute to social cohesion;

– greater involvement of the public through innovative ICT technologies

– greater integration of migrant communities into the cultural activities of the host societies and their active involvement in the project activities.

Short description

The project stems from the awareness of the repeated denial of human rights that we still witness today, which continues to subject our society to the risk of a loss of the value of humanity as already experienced in the twentieth century. The travelling exhibition “Registered, persecuted, annihilated: The Sick and the Disabled under National Socialism” opened in Germany in 2014 serves as the inspiration for the project, which focuses on the inhuman persecution of mentally ill people during totalitarianism.

 

Objective

The aim of the project is to facilitate an intercultural and shared reflection on what has been the persecution of mentally ill people during European totalitarianism, not only to recover their memory, but also to guide, with the support of European professionals and bodies active in the field, young Europeans in a process of de-stigmatization of mental illness and suggest solutions for social inclusion in the present.

 

Actions

– Research conducted by European students on the subject;

– Organisation of 8 events including an initial and a final symposium, travelling exhibitions, performances of performing arts, workshops;

– Mobility of European students and young people;

– Production of videos, films and documentaries related to the project.

 

Results

These are the main expected results:

– Activation of participation processes, in particular of groups at risk of social exclusion, which will benefit from the training experience of the project;

– Networking at transnational level between bodies and professionals in the sector;

The project aims to extend and develop the social entrepreneurship skills of educators/professionals working in organisations that support migrant populations, in order to assist them in the long term in promoting social entrepreneurship towards low-skilled adults with a migrant background, as an alternative pathway to their self-sustainability.

InEuropa srl has supported Liberation and Hope onlus during the planning phase, and will do so during the implementation phase as well.

 

Objectives

– to improve the experience and knowledge of educators/professionals in the field of social entrepreneurship, which will help them in the long run to support the development of social entrepreneurship skills in adult learners with a migrant background;

– to improve the provision of high quality learning opportunities in the field of social entrepreneurship, based on the needs of both unprecedented educators with relevant knowledge in the field and low-skilled adults with a migrant background;

– to increase the capacity of educators/professionals as trainers of other trainers in social entrepreneurship;

– Promote the social entrepreneurial spirit and raise awareness of alternative ways to pursue self-sustainability;

– increasing the relevance of learning and qualifications in the labour market, and reinforcing the link between the world of social entrepreneurship with adult trainers and the world of migrant learners.

 

Actions

The project was implemented in two main phases:

Preparatory phase

1) Establish the scope for needs assessment (methodology, guidelines and tools);

2) Research and brainstorming to identify the state of the art of capacity building programmes and good practices for building social entrepreneurial skills of educators/professionals working with migrants, social entrepreneurial educational practices, key documents on the implementation of entrepreneurship education, etc.;

3) Formulation of a system of evidence-based criteria for classifying areas of intervention.

 

Implementation phase

a) specification of the didactic methodology; elaboration of the capacity building curriculum;

(b) development of the structure of the web platform;

(c) experimental verification of the virtual learning tool for the implementation of the final version;

(d) evaluation of applications and final selection of beneficiaries;

(e) implementation of training for the construction of skills in social entrepreneurship

f) creation and activation of the network of virtual centres for informal social learning, and of the validation and certification methodology;

(g) assessment of the level of capacity building achieved;

(h) organisation of multiplier events and a final transnational conference.

 

Results

The main expected results are:

– Increased capacity of educators working in organisations that provide support to migrant populations in providing quality teaching and mentoring in the field of social entrepreneurship to adults with a migrant background;

– Increased capacity of partner organisations to promote adult entrepreneurial learning in the social enterprise sector by using the tools developed and by sharing experiences and knowledge on tools and practices for promoting social entrepreneurship at transnational level;

– Increased awareness of potential social entrepreneurs with migrant backgrounds who are in the countries of the project partners to engage successfully in the field of social entrepreneurship;

– Increased competence level of educators, objectively demonstrated through validation and certification of acquired skills;

– Knowledge of the open learning resources and the functional online tool available also after the end of the project for each adult who wishes to participate as a volunteer at community level, or for each social service provider who publishes opportunities and recruits volunteers.

The main activities of the project consist of:

  • Creation of teaching modules and materials related to the dissemination of “green” work. In particular, the central production consists of several short promotional videos prepared by the students, which describe successful stories and good practices by young actors in the “green” sector
  • International training for teachers and students
  • Activities in schools (supported by local actors in the “green” sector), including school exchanges
  • “School-to-work” exchange programs to connect the education sector with the employment sector of the “green economy”, creating and consolidating partnerships between these two worlds
  • University orientation programs, which will give to high school students a better knowledge of the opportunities offered by universities to prepare to work in the “green economy”
  • Preparation of final recommendations on the potential, in terms of education, work and career, of the “green” sector

 

Results

The main expected results are:

  • Achievement of better knowledge and more effective tools related to the “green economy” sector for students, teachers and other subjects of teaching. They will be more aware of career opportunities offered by the “green” employment sector in Europe and will be able to use the experience gained to promote such opportunities to future students and friends
  • Operators and companies of the “green economy” will establish strong ties with local schools, especially those with courses related to the “green” sector. These links can lead to strong interactions between schools and businesses, aimed at better cooperation between the private and public sector and the definition of educational programs that better meet the demands of an innovative sector such as the “green” sector

The project intends to create alternative paths for young people who leave school early (ESL – Early School Leaving) towards social inclusion in order to finally enter the labor market. The innovative aspect is that the project does not seek to reintegrate school dropouts into the formal education system, but focuses on enhancing their self-esteem and supporting them to embark on an alternative path of self-learning.

InEuropa srl is the  partner of the project.

 

Objectives

  • battle discrimination against young people who precociously leave school (who face the risks of unemployment, poverty and social exclusion) and increase their socio-economic inclusion by developing basic and transversal skills;
  • launch a flexible, innovative and youth-led online course for the development of basic and transversal skills, adapted to the needs of young people who have left school early;
  • offer an accessible and integrated tool (e-learning platform and for network actions) and a coherent European methodology for the capacity building of young people, easily applicable and transferable;
  • improve self-respect and self-confidence of young people, developing their skills and testing them for their personal and professional development;
  • increase the recognition of skills acquired and certified through non-formal learning, thus enhancing the competitiveness and employability of young people;
  • transfer, employ and build skills and good practices from successful models of development of key competences of disadvantaged young people across Europe;
  • fill the gap between the world of formal qualifications (acquired through formal education) and the acquisition of informal skills (acquired through informal educational ways as e-learning)
  • offer alternative education and training paths and opportunities, leading the way for a labor market and education for young people with educational disadvantages, which are more inclusive.

Actions

The proposed methodology involves the design and development of an online self-learning platform with gamification elements. The project will follow a holistic approach based on the direct feedback of the young beneficiaries, who will be actively involved in the process of design, development and verification of self-learning platform and will act as ambassadors that “drive” the awareness-raising campaigns on a large scale, with partnership support, with the aim of promoting the new electronic platform and involving its peers.

The project foresees the realization of 6 Intellectual outputs:

IO 1: E-Book “identification and analysis of needs”

IO 2: Development and Accreditation of the training course ”

IO 3: Implementation, development, and coordination of the Platform for Capacity-Building & Networking

IO 4: Training and activation of “Ambassadors” and Dissemination Campaign

IO 5: Guidelines for the realization of Coaching Centers and Support at a national level, towards young people who have abandoned school early, for opportunities for non-formal and informal training.

OI 6: E-book: “Drop-in final report of the project”.

 


Results

The main expected results are:

  • Increased confidence and capacity in young participants (who left school early), reintroducing them into informal and non-formal learning processes, for further development of their skills;
  • Increased awareness and understanding of the long-term positive impacts of informal and non-formal learning processes on the personal and professional life of the young people involved;
  • Increased awareness on the part of young people who have left school early to be closer to their peers who have instead completed a formal educational path;
  • Increased capacity to promote the employability and socio-economic inclusion of young people who have left school early, through shared and innovative informal and non-formal methodologies and tools.

Short description

The EDUGATE project stems from the idea that in these times of unprecedented economic and social challenges, it is essential to provide children with a solid start in life through the implementation of a high quality pre-school educational service. In fact, the broad benefits that pre-school education brings in early childhood have been widely acknowledged and range from economic benefits for society as a whole to better outcomes for individuals in their schooling. In particular, the project stems from the recognition of the lack of a pre-school service aimed at fully exploiting the potential of children in foreign language learning, despite the fact that the phenomenon of multiculturalism and migration is now consolidated even at school. In this perspective, it is especially important for migrant children to learn the language of the host country from an early age, in order to promote their integration into social, cultural and professional life. Moreover, it would be very useful for children to learn English or other vehicular languages that are valuable for them in their future adult life and for overcoming many barriers. For this reason, the project believes that it is essential to update and strengthen the training of teachers and educators working in the field of early childhood, in particular by updating their skills and abilities on the basis of the challenges posed by contemporary society, such as international mobility, multiculturalism, the need to think in a global world.

 

Objectives

– Strengthen the knowledge and skills of school staff, through the implementation of an analysis and exchange of experiences and information between partners who will improve their skills and knowledge on teaching a second language in the pre-school system.

– Improve the early childhood education system and make it competitive against contemporary European challenges.

– Improve the integration and inclusion of foreign children in the host country – particularly in the case of immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers who do not speak the language of the country in which they live.

– Create an educational and didactic programme that allows the introduction of the teaching of a second language in the pre-school system of the countries involved.

– Improve the education system for pre-school children to avoid possible difficulties in adulthood and to train adults who are able to face the challenges of a global and multicultural society.

 

Actions

– Drawing up of a Training Context and Needs Map analysing pre-school training from the point of view of teachers and educators

– Drawing up of a Collection of Innovative Good Practices in which at least 5 good practices collected in each partner country are reported

– Development of the Educational Programme and operational plan describing both the contents and the application model for a bilingual education system in the pre-school system

– Development of teaching materials for pre-school teachers to strengthen teachers’ skills

– Elaboration of the Guidelines for New Professional Curricula

– multiplier events organized locally by individual PPs to inform and involve local stakeholders;

– organisation of 6 virtual meetings (Skype) between the PPs of the project;

– organisation of 5 transnational meetings (including project start and end meetings), respectively in Italy, Sweden, Poland, Latvia, Slovenia.

– Realization of 2 transnational training sessions for teachers and educators, one in Italy and one in the Czech Republic

 

Results

– Drawing up of a map on training contexts and needs: the map will be produced following the analysis conducted in the first 7 months of the project and will give a picture of how educators and teachers of the pre-school system perceive the context and the training needs.

– Elaboration of a Collection of Innovative Good Practices: each partner will collect 5 good practices about innovative education systems implemented in Europe or worldwide.

– Development of the Educational Programme and operational plan. This will describe both theories and methodology with which the second language should be introduced into pre-school education.

– Teacher materials for the pre-school system: the teaching materials resulting from the implementation of the educational programme and the work plan will improve the teachers’ skills in teaching the second language in early childhood education services.

– Development of Guidelines for New Professional Curricula for Teaching Staff Working in Pre-School Services

– Improved training for pre-school educational staff on innovative and state-of-the-art training systems

– Strengthening the early childhood education system to make it competitive against contemporary European challenges.

– Better integration of foreign children and migrants, both in the classroom and in the social and cultural life of the host country.
